Today in a debate in the European Parliament MEP Gunnar Hökmark made his remarks on the Commission’s Action Plan on creating a Capital Markets Union.
Mr. Hökmark welcomes the initiative and pointed to the fact that we already today have a couple of well-functioning capital markets in the union.
– We already have a couple of well-functioning capital markets in the union. Let us use those as good examples when creating a Capital Markets Union for the whole EU. In the creating of a Capital Markets Union we must not over regulate the already well-functioning capital markets in the union”, Mr. Hökmark said.
