– Europe must embark on a concrete reform oriented agenda if we are to combating the crisis and winning the future. This was the main message from Mr Hökmark, EPP Group Vice President and chair of EPP:s Working Group on Economic Policy, at EPP:s Political Assembly in Brussels.
– Increasing European prosperity and stability must stand at the forefront of our efforts to exit from the crisis. There will be no welfare systems without economic growth and new jobs. Economic governance is a pre-condition for a social society.
– I am glad that the EPP Political Assembly has accepted the ambitious proposals from the Working Group on Economic Policy.
The conclusions adopted by the working group will be finally agreed at the EPP congress in Marseille, France 7-8 December.
